Ruiheng Hu, 2025 Grant to Support Knowledge Exchange recipient, shares her experience.
Thank you very much to IOM3 for your support and giving me the opportunity to attend Complex Motion in Fluids 2025 (CMiF2025) conference in Oléron, France. It was a truly inspiring experience.
During the event, I had the chance to engage with leading researchers and professionals in the field of materials science. The workshops have widen my understanding of the challenges and opportunities in our field, and have sparked new ideas that I’m eager to explore in my own work.
I also had the chance of delivering a presentation, which was very well received. It was a great opportunity to share my research on the behavior of droplets on patterned and functionalized surfaces (particularly in the context of coatings, biphilic materials, and quasiliquid interfaces), receive feedback and build connections with others who share similar interests.
