Our next course will take place virtually on 14 May 2026.

We are delighted to be working with award-winning science communicator and author Dr Anna Ploszajski to offer this short course exploring the importance of storytelling in technical communications.

The half-day course will give you the tools, skills and knowledge needed to apply storytelling techniques to communicating technical work in written and verbal forms.  This course is primarily aimed at students and early career researchers in academia and industry, but is also relevant to anyone who has to communicate information to others, such as those working in other professional services, support, communications and media relations.

The Storytelling in Research course helps you plot your story by identifying the elements of storytelling. Unlock the Story Toolbox - from the journey and characters to the conflict and resolution of a narrative.
