We are delighted to be working with Sandra Morrell to deliver this one-day workshop, which has been designed to develop your practical skills in managing a team beyond the basics. It creates an understanding of delegation, communication and assertiveness as a basis for lessons on giving feedback and performance counselling. There is also treatment, via short case studies, of several common difficult scenarios, and the day ends with an extremely useful session which deals with the development of the delegates' general management skills.
The course is a careful blend of teaching, case studies and small group exercises to bring the subject matter to life. By the end of the workshop, you will understand:
- The differences between leadership and management, and the key skills required of each role
- How to develop a high-performance team
- How to motivate your team
- How to be an effective communicator in a variety of scenarios
The course has been created for those in or about to take up their first management or supervisory position, but anyone wanting a refresher will also find the content relevant, accessible and highly motivating.
