We're delighted to be working with Sandra Morrell to deliver this one-day workshop, which has been designed to develop your practical skills in project management.

This intensive session teaches you basic project management techniques and is intended to familiarise you with common terms and tools so that you can manage projects more effectively. It explores the definition of projects and project management, the life cycle of a project, project goals, the use of a target chart, preparing a project and breaking down the work structure, scheduling and planning, carrying out and closing the project, and risks.

The course is a blend of teaching, case studies and small group exercises to bring the subject matter to life. By the end of the workshop, you will understand:

• Project process models
• The key skills of a project manager
• The stages of project planning
• Common terminology
• How to manage expectations

The course has been created for those in or about to take up their first management or supervisory position, but anyone wanting a refresher to brush up their skills will also find the content relevant, accessible and highly motivating.
