It compares this with most bulk bags, which are 30% recycled material.

The merchant says this will help customers comply with the waste separation rules - as of Spring this year all UK businesses with more than 10 employees must separate recyclable materials at source. As well as with site Waste Management Plans, to help construction companies meet regulations and sustainability targets

MKM reports to be distributing 65,000 bags across its 135 branches, and projects 800,000 fully recycled bags to be used each year as the business scales. An initial bulk order of 250,000 bags has been made from Centurion.

While older 30% recycled content bags remain in limited circulation, MKM has ceased purchasing non-100% recycled bags, and stock will be phased out.

The company owns exclusive UK supply rights until 1 October this year.
