UK partnership to accelerate deep-tech innovation
Science Creates and the National Composites Centre (NCC) are to support scale-up of R&D and businesses in the sector.
By combining Science Creates’ experiences of incubating deep-tech ventures with NCC’s expertise in industrial innovation and scaling, a new partnership aims to create an integrated ecosystem of transformative companies.
The collaboration will involve rapid scaling up of deep-tech innovations by linking them with industry leaders, investors and state-of-the-art facilities, launching of new R&D projects, and establishment of co-located spaces to expose companies to opportunities in the commercial and defence sectors.
Science Creates brings lab space, training and early-stage investment for start-ups, while NCC helps businesses of all sizes move from ideation to industrial applications.
This will support the UK’s Industrial Strategy ambitions, seeking to boost regional innovation and commercialisation of research.
Based in Bristol, UK, the partnership will focus on supporting businesses in South-West England.
In early 2026, to kick off the partnership, the companies are establishing a deep-tech founder network that they plan to support at both of their sites through tailored events, forums and other community support.
Founders and C-suite members can register their interest on a form found in the News sections of both the NCC and Science Creates websites.
