Transformation to CO2 reduced plate - Impact on CO2 emission, energy demand and plate consumption

After giving a short profile of Dillinger as heavy plate producer with the today state of the art technology within the SHS group Dr. Hölbling will look at the actual heavy plate market in Europe with demand drivers and external impacts.  

Within only 3 years from now the today technology of iron and steelmaking will be transformed with the Power4Steel project.  This change and the impact on energy and raw material needs, quality aspects and the reduction of carbon footprint in heavy plate will be presented.
