Dr Wini Obande

Wini is a lecturer and Elizabeth Georgeson Fellow in Sustainable Multifunctional Composites at the University of Edinburgh. She has over 10 years of experience in advanced and sustainable materials research, and leads the Circular Composites Engineering Group within the Institute for Materials and Processes at the University of Edinburgh. She is also a recipient of a 2025 Royal Academy of Engineering Research Fellowship for her project "Alignment and Functionalisation of Waste Fibres into High-Value Composite Materials".

Long Ye

Dr. Long Ye is a teaching fellow at the University of Edinburgh, specializing in advanced manufacturing of metallic materials and AI-enabled materials processing. He joined the Generative AI Laboratory (GAIL) as a Research Fellow from January 2025. He holds a Ph.D. in Intelligent Manufacturing from KU Leuven and has led and contributed to international research projects on micro-/nano-machining, digital twins, and plasma-based technologies. Dr. Ye has held visiting fellowships at Northwestern University, University of Ljubljana and Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology.
