Vocational Celebration Day launched
The annual event will take place in the UK on the first Thursday of August from 2026.
The celebration aims to enhance the perception of vocational education, celebrate the achievements of learners and practitioners in the field, and help the uptake of courses in the next generation of the UK workforce.
Vocational training offers a direct pathway to employment through apprenticeships, technical colleges or on-the-job learning.
Set up by the former Sector Skills Council Enginuity and awarding organisation EAL, who both specialise in engineering and manufacturing but want the day to welcome involvement from the entire skills spectrum.
