Dr Michael Shakib walks us through a renewable energy project from start to finish, showing how an idea develops into something that could realistically be funded. Starting from the early concept stage, we’ll look at how a project takes shape, what questions need to be answered first, where the risks sit, and how the financial thinking develops alongside the technical side. As we move through the session, we’ll gradually add complexity introducing the practical considerations, assumptions, and trade-offs that turn a rough idea into something that could realistically be funded.
