This webinar is for everyone who is interested in material resource management, either personally or professionally, join us as we learn how circular economy principles can be applied to raw material management. Guest speaker Nick Thomas will help contextualise this as a practitioner from the sector.
This session on circular economy brings the focus onto a key part of the discussion: raw materials.
We’ll briefly revisit the circular economy to provide context, then spend most of the time looking at raw materials and their role in modern industry, supply pressures, and the importance of recovery, reuse, and better management across the life cycle. The session will connect these ideas to renewable energy, manufacturing, and wider sustainability challenges.
We are pleased to announce that we will also be joined by a guest speaker, Nick Thomas, Circular Economy Education and Events Coordinator at CWM Environmental in Carmarthen, who will bring a practitioner perspective from working directly in the sector. His contribution will help ground the discussion in real activity taking place across Wales, particularly around materials recovery and circular economy education.
This webinar is intended as a focused look at how circular economy thinking links directly to raw materials, and why that matters for industry, policy, and future skills.
