📢 We are delighted to announce that the Young Persons’ Lecture Competition (Hong Kong Heat) 2025 is now open for submissions! This annual event, organized by IOM3(HK), provides an excellent platform for young professionals and students to showcase their knowledge and presentation skills in materials, minerals, mining, packaging, clay technology, wood science, and engineering.

🌐 Key Details:
• Date: 25 September 2025 (Thursday)
• Format: In-person
• Presentation: 12–15 minutes in English, followed by a Q&A session with the judging panel 🎙️
• Abstract Submission Deadline: 13 September 2025 (max. 150 words)
• Eligibility: Applicants must be 28 years old or under as of 1 June 2025 and must not have placed in the top three in any previous YPWLC final.
• Topics: Materials, Minerals, Mining, Packaging, Clay Technology, Wood Science, Science, or Engineering 📚

🏆 Prizes:
• 🥇 Winner: HK$1,500 + Sponsorship for IOM3 Affiliate Membership
• 🥈 1st Runner-up: HK$1,200
• 🥉 2nd Runner-up: HK$800
• All shortlisted participants will receive a HK$50 coffee coupon! ☕

To participate, submit a 150-word abstract on your chosen topic by the deadline via the QR code in the poster or www.iom3.org/events-awards/competitions/ypwlc.html. The winner will compete in the 2025 online World Final on Thursday 27 November.
