? Numerical modelling of landslide debris
? Mitigation strategies and design of mitigation measures
? Landslip investigations
? Innovative technologies such as Building Information Modelling (BIM)
?️ Why it matters:
Natural terrain covers over 60% of Hong Kong’s land area. As urban expansion continues, development is steadily encroaching upon the steep natural hillsides that border the urban areas. The close proximity of these slopes to urban areas, combined with seasonal torrential rainfall, inevitably increases the risk of landslide-related casualties.
Since its establishment in 1977, the Geotechnical Engineering Office (GEO) has been conducting studies and implementing measures to reduce landslide risk in Hong Kong.
? Don’t miss this chance to gain insights from Hong Kong’s leading experts!
