17th International Conference on Modelling of Casting, Welding & Advanced Solidification Processes
The 17th International Symposium on Modelling of Casting, Welding and Advanced Solidification Processes (MCWASP XVII) will be held between 7-12 June 2026. This conference, which will be in its 46th year, will include presentations from world leaders in the numerical modelling of casting, welding, additive manufacturing and solidification.
This year, the conference will be held at Norton Park Hotel near Winchester, returning to the UK for the first time in over 30 years.
The 5-day conference includes accommodation, all meals (including a Conference Dinner at the Great Hall in Winchester), a social trip and refreshments during the poster sessions. It is a single-track conference allowing you to see all the research presented at the conference. The conference proceedings will be published with open access in the IOP Conference Series: Materials Science and Engineering.

- 7 March 2026: Early registration rate ends
- 31 March 2026: Proceedings article submission closes
- 1 May 2026: Presenters must be registered
- 7 June 2026: Conference opens
