Introduction to Mining is a comprehensive overview of the mining industry, covering fundamental concepts, processes and terminology. It is designed for participants seeking to understand the basics of the mining industry, including all stages of the mining life cycle from exploration to post-closure.
After this course, you will be able to:

- Explain the stages of the mining lifecycle

The course is aimed at individuals new to the mining sector, environmental and sustainability consultants, and those working in regulation and mining-related policy. It provides a solid foundation to professionals from other industries who want to gain an understanding of mining.
IOM3 members are eligible for an increased discount of 20% on this course throughout the remainder of 2025, reducing the fee to £456. The standard non-member rate is £570.
