DESCRIPTION:After the AGM business, Alan Scholes will give a talk entitled:- Critical Materials and their Recovery As we move towards an increasingly digital and low carbon future, the use of certain metals in electronics, power generation and other uses becomes more critical. For some of these critical materials the ability of known materials deposits to meet projected needs is very uncertain. In other cases there are issues of control of materials supply. This challenge brings focus on finding ways to optimise materials use and also to find viable ways to recover critical materials from end of life products.
