DESCRIPTION:Local heat of the Young Persons Lecture Competition arranged jointly by Manchester Metallurgical Society and ourselves, MPG. Guidance notes are attached. Submit your abstract here: https://shorturl.at/hvEK1 and please select MMS as the local heat. Together, the Councils of Manchester Metallurgical Society and the Manchester Polymer Group will pick the best 5 abstracts from those received for the Manchester heat (all applications are treated equally, regardless of subject matter!). Key dates are: - ABSTRACT DEADLINE: MONDAY 5th FEBRUARY - Regional North West Heat: Tuesday 5th March (evening time). - National Final: 15th May Prize money for our regional heat: £200 1st, £100 2nd, £50 runners up (if you win the national/international competitions, you get even more!).\n
