DESCRIPTION:This session explores how low carbon active buildings generate, store and intelligently manage energy, and how smart design, renewable technologies and real-time performance monitoring are reshaping the built environment. We&rsquo;ll examine a number of case studies, looking at novel design considerations, retrofit challenges, emerging technology barriers, and the practical realities of delivering high-performance buildings. Dr Nathan Cooze CEng CSci MIMMM FHEA has taught in Higher Education for over 13 years. He is currently an Industrial Lecturer at Swansea University delivering work-based learning, helping to contribute to the UK&rsquo;s Net Zero aspirations by addressing green skills gaps in the private and public sectors particularly around manufacturing-related industries.<br />\n
