 💡 About the Seminar\n
As a next-generation material, Engineered Cementitious Composites (ECC) — or “bendable concrete”—has demonstrated outstanding damage tolerance, crack control, and durability. It enhances structural resilience while reducing cost and carbon footprint.\n
Prof. Li will highlight ECC’s unique behavior and share case studies from China, Japan, and the US, showcasing its successful transition from research innovation to real-world construction.\n
 \n
 👨‍🏫 About the Speaker\n
Dr Victor Li is globally recognized for pioneering ECC and advancing sustainable infrastructure materials. He has received numerous international honors, including the RILEM Life-Time Achievement Award and the CIC Grand Prize for Innovation. With over 65,000 citations, he ranks among the top 2% of scientists worldwide in Building & Construction / Materials (Stanford University & Elsevier, 2020–2025).\n
 \n
🏙️ Co-organizers: The Hong Kong Institution of Engineers, Hong Kong Concrete Institute (HKCI) and American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Greater China Section\n
